| Exhibit: The American Revolution The American Revolution was a seminal event in world history. It created the United States and gave our country its identity. Explore how the American Revolution transformed America, inspiring it with many of America’s noble ideals: commitment to freedom and liberty, equality, constitutionalism and self-government. Celebrate July 4th with the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum Saturday, July 4, 2026 – 10 am – 4 pm Lecture at 1:00 pm Celebrate the 250th anniversary of American Independence with a special one-day event at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum. View artifacts connected to the nation’s founding and the Lehigh Valley’s role in the American Revolution, including a deed bearing the signature of George Taylor, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a 1:00 p.m. lecture featuring the dramatic wartime rescue of Elizabeth Allen, a reading of the Declaration, and tours of Trout Hall, the 1770 stone mansion built by James Allen.
